Meet Jessie
I have worked for Water Babies for 8 years now, it still feels like yesterday I was a parent in the pool which made me so desperate to be a part of the wider team.

My favourite Water Babies skill is the holiday swim.
I loved this swim with my own children when I was a parent in the pool, and that love has travelled with me to now teaching it. I love doing it under water and challenging both myself and my children on how far we can travel together ‘like mermaids’.
I do also enjoy the runaway train song when teaching. It’s just so satisfying seeing the laughter and smiles that the skill brings in a pool environment.
I could not love my job any more if I tried, it brings so much satisfaction every single week and I’m so thankful I found water babies for my two children.
My eldest is now 9 and loves swimming in stage 7 and my youngest is 4 in stage 3, which is all thanks to the Water Babies programme, teaching them both water confidence from such a young age.
I’m also extremely thankful to Water Babies as a parent, for all the safety work it taught my children. My youngest fell in a deep part of a stream when she was only 3 but she got to safety with ease using the skills she had learnt in class. This has made me extra passionate and have a lot of love for the safety skills I teach to little ones every week.

How our lessons work
Learn essential water safety, core aquatic skills, and swimming strokes from the first lesson.

Supportive lessons
With a maximum of 10 little ones, a carer per child and one of our teachers in the pool in each lesson.

30 minutes long
Lessons take place each week, so it’s a wonderful way to bond with your baby away from the craziness of life.

Have fun!
Skills are taught through song, play and repetition, so there’s never a dull moment when you’re in the pool.

Tailored progress
Our teachers will tailor each lesson to your little one’s ability, so it’s only when they’re ready, we’re ready.
